The Super Mario 3D All-Stars package might not have been everything that everyone wanted, and yes, the package as a whole might have been a little bare bones. Regardless, here at Nintendad Manor we’re still happily long jumping our way to success in Super Mario 64, cleaning up in Super Mario Sunshine and blasting our way through the galaxy in Super Mario…. Galaxy.
Any-who, let’s not beat around the bush any longer. For the final time – and for your convenience, we bring you all thirteen pieces of content that we put together for this timeless package.
Super Mario 64
Super Mario 64 remains the Mary-Jane of 3D platformers – the gateway game, so to speak. It’s accessibility holds up even to this day a fact attested to by my daughters own preference to it above the other games in the package. Timeless.
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Mario Sunshine isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, it’s probably the most divisive game in the franchise. What it is however is a creative and boundlessly beautiful adventure with a score that slaps and an adventure that, if you can put the little niggles aside, enraptures endlessly. Just don’t mention the FLUDD-free sections…
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy could quite possibly be the GOAT. It’s a near-flawless adventure with gorgeous visuals that shine in HD. Its linear progression system works wonderfully and the in-game set-pieces are amongst the best in the portly plumbers rich history.
