Kieran was dismantling stereos and speakers from an early age, learning all about how electrical circuits work and by his teens was building PCs from scratch. At the age of 21, he set up and maintained servers for a huge corporation. All of this, paired with his singular A-Level in music technology set him in great stead to be BDG’s go-to tech review guy.

When Thomas isn’t delving into a dungeon in the latest RPG, he can be found having other adventures such as flying helicopters or scuba diving. Or, perhaps the most dangerous and rewarding, raising a family of three children.
Mel Curtis: Editor-in-Chief
When not working in corporate America, Mel can be found typing away in 4thewords and running out of podcasts to listen to. She has a cocktail of passions that include theme parks, animatronics, virtual reality, and animation.

Kevin Orme: Creative Editor
Kevin is a dad of four who has been playing Nintendo games since he was three. Between kicking trash at puzzle games and any rogue-like you can give him, gaming has been a passion of his for as long as he can remember. If it’s even remotely close to a Mega Man game, Kevin will consume it with reckless abandon.
Anna Karasik: Deputy Editor
When Anna isn’t writing game-related content, she’s probably discussing the fragility of life and expansiveness of the universe with her cats, Tush and Chewie. Nintendo has been a part of her life ever since she was a five-year-old fan of Pokémon on TV. After that, she got her sister’s hand-me-down Game Boy Color and became a gamer. The rest is history!

Abbi Smith: Project Manager
Abbi is a full-time control and automation engineer. She’s a huge fan of relaxed games such as Rune Factory and Animal Crossing but has a secret weakness for a good visual novel or violent RPG! Opinionated and honest, she might not be everyone’s cup of tea!
Speciality genre: Slice of Life, simulation & Hack ‘n’ Slash RPGs
Brett’s love for Nintendo dates back to the historic times of the NES era, long before memory cards where a thing and Game Over truly meant Game Over. His favourite genre to play is a good old-fashioned RSI-inducing platformer. When he’s not Jumping over a brick or two, his other passion is music. He plays bass in a rock band called SevenDaze which he thinks one day will be the biggest band on the planet… he also thinks he may be slightly delusional.
When Richy isn’t prancing around Hyrule, he can be found looking after his son. In the (fleeting) minutes in between, he can be found playing five-a-side football like Ronaldinho after 14 pints of lager or getting choked into oblivion at Judo or Jiujitsu classes. When Richy isn’t prancing around Hyrule, he can be found looking after his son. Joachim Ziebs: Staff Writer
When Joachim isn’t playing video games, he’s teaching and deviously sneaking video game or popular culture titbits into lesson plans and exams.
Gareth Tucker: Staff Writer
Gareth is notoriously bad at Bios. He likes playing games of all varieties but especially RPGs. If it’s got a gripping story he’s all over it. If he’s not playing games he’s either teaching or trying to con a toddler who somehow knows she’s got the disconnected Joy-Con…
