Stop the presses!! Nintendo still make games
After last week’s Mario extravaganza, and the precluding months of silence, I’ll be the first to admit that I was genuinely surprised by an announcement regarding a new Zelda title, albeit it a Hyrule Warriors game. The first Hyrule Warriors, which was initially released on the Wii U before being ported to the Nintendo Switch, had an over the top story that at times bordered on ridiculous. Rather than weave an intricate narrative, it was all about the inane destruction and sheer exhiliration of 1 vs 1000 gameplay.
In Age of Calamity, the narrative will be canon, with the action taking place in the 100 years prior to 2017s GOTY, BOTW.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will release on the Nintendo Switch Family of systems on November 20th 2020.
